We want every Canadian to be able to participate in National Canadian Film Day 150 (NCFD 150), which is why we’re so delighted about this event by POW Hearing Solutions in Toronto.
On April 19, POW Hearing Solutions is partnering with us to provide a unique opportunity: a silent screening of STILL MINE! Video captioning, WiFi audio streaming and FM devices will be provided so that audience members can experience what it’s like to watch a film with hearing assistive devices.
STILL MINE is a tender romantic drama about a husband (James Cromwell) fighting for the right to build a final home for himself and his wife of many years (Genevieve Bujold), whose health is starting to fail.
With this event, POW Hearing Solutions hopes to raise awareness about workplace accessibility. Audiences are also invited to bid on listening devices at their Silent Auction and learn more about how businesses can receive funding to support a Hearing Friendly workplace! Advance tickets are available here. Same-day tickets will also be available.
The event will take place at 6:30 pm at 720 Bathurst Street — click here for more information!
NCFD 150 is honoured to be able to support and encourage accessibility at our events. Find a screening near you on April 19 by going to our Events page!
