About the Film

Kiss and Cry is based on the remarkable true story of Carley Allison, a promising 18 year old figure skater and singer who made medical history in her fight against a rare 1 in 3.5 billion type of cancer.  It is the story of Carley’s emotional battle with cancer, her heartwarming relationship with her loving boyfriend, and her inspiring comeback to skating. The film stars Sarah Fisher as Carley Allison. Sarah and Carley were best friends in real life.

Sean Cisterna

Sean Cisterna is a multi award-winning director whose most recent film is From the Vine, an international co-production starring Emmy winner Joe Pantoliano, which was picked up by Samuel Goldwyn Films. Cisterna directed the acclaimed cancer drama Kiss and Cry, which topped the Canadian box office, and is streaming on Netflix worldwide. His 2015 feature Full Out, starring Jennifer Beals, is based on the true story of gymnast Ariana Berlin. The film was broadcast on NBC, now residing with Netflix Worldwide and Disney Europe. Cisterna was awarded a Canada 150 Citizenship Award by the Federal Government for his dedication to, and community engagement in, the arts.

Sarah Fisher

Canadian actress, Sarah Fisher is best known for her three seasons playing ‘Becky Baker’ on the award winning Canadian Drama Degrassi.

Sarah was the lead actress in the feature film Kiss and Cry (2016, available Netflix worldwide) where she won “Best Actress Feature” at the Flagler Film Festival in Florida. This was her first project as an associate producer, the movie has been screened at film festivals around the world and has won many awards including the 2018 Kids Screen Award for “Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie Tweens/Teens”.
