The Will To Live
This half-hour video tells the story of George Stephen, an Indigenous man who lived homeless for twenty years. It traces George’s journey into and out of homelessness through his experiences with people living on the streets and service providers. His story reveals the complex issues surrounding poverty, homelessness and migration for Cree people of the James Bay area and life on the streets in Sudbury, Ontario. This short documentary is not only educational but inspiring and will help paint a vivid picture of the challenges and barriers the Indigenous homeless population continues to face.
