Getting Married in Buffalo Jump

After her father's death, a lounge pianist (Wendy Crewson) returns to her rural Albertan hometown in hopes of running the family ranch. She has difficulty adjusting to the country life after many years in the city, and is taken by surprise when Alex (Paul Gross), the farm's handyman, offers her his hand in marriage in order to keep the farm afloat.
