Sarnia Observer: Kineto theatre hosting Canadian Film Day screening

April 10, 2017

The Sarnia Observer explores the NCFD 150 screening events at the Kineto Theatre.

A pair of Forest-area community groups have teamed up to offer a special free Canadian Film Day screening April 19 at the Kineto Theatre.

The Kiwanis Club of Forest and the Wiiwkwedong Arts Collective of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation are organizing the 8 p.m. screening of the residential school-themed drama Rhymes for Young Ghouls, along with two short films, Grandfather Drum and Wave A Red Flag at the Forest theatre.

The event joins free screenings of Canadian films planned that day in Sarnia, Petrolia and communities across the country for this year’s expanded Canadian Film Day celebration honouring Canada’s 150th birthday.
