A Tribute to Christopher Plummer

When we heard about the recent passing of Canadian icon Christopher Plummer, we knew we had to devote some time this year to celebrating the career of this true icon of Canadian cinema. Our festival partners agreed, and they are joining us in presenting several national watch parties with films available on our festival platform for FREE for 48 hours starting on April 21. Each partner will also be showcasing discussions with collaborators Atom Egoyan and Michael Kirby. Detailed listings for those are included below.

Screenings on our platform will include the classic crime thriller The Silent Partner, his Canadian Screen Award-nominated turn in Remember and a special presentation of Christopher Plummer: A Memoir, a rarely-seen interview between Plummer and Egoyan. On TV, you can also tune in to Super Channel Vault to see him play Sherlock Holmes in Murder By Decree. Regardless of how you choose to do so, we hope you’ll join us in commemorating the achievements of this legendary actor.
